Things have been pretty quiet around this website lately. I think I broke it. Mom! I broke the Internet!

I tried to upgrade the software to Movable Type version 3.2. What a catastrophe. I couldn't post anything, couldn't rebuild the site, comments weren't working.

I've been too busy to work on it because I've been getting ready for my CD release shows this weekend. You are coming out to these events, right?

So the other night I stayed up until 6 in the morning messing around with the site. If you're reading this it means I can at least post something.

I was kept company all night by the lovely n00dz floating my way over MSN. I don't know why I don't hang out on Messenger more often. Well yes I know why. It's because I like to sleep sometimes.

Anyways it would appear that the blog's database has been corrupted. Slowly I am learning what that means... it means a big nuisance. I might just have to throw everything away and start over from scratch.

Four years. But it really wouldn't be such a tragedy. I don't care. There's plenty more action where all that came from.

I just had this strange urge to consult the I Ching. Dear Mr. Ching. What does the future hold?

Thanks for telling me what I wanted to hear.

ooo. .. don't give up completely. if you can log in and post, you can export all your posts out, to reimport when you build a new blog.

the upgrade to 3.2 is a big one, and they changed the CSS a lot, it took me a while to figure things out. if you are going to rebuild everything, you might as well save yourself future pain and follow the new CSS, although the old will work.

Technology betrays us.

yo philip. staying up all night on msnmessenger like totally rulz :P

Try archive.org. You'll probably be able to recover most of your old stuff and repost it, anyway. It's slow, but it works.

Just checking I can comment here - the two I left above don't seem to have appeared.

Here's hoping you've got everything fixed now...
